Let me show you how it’s done… Loser! ~Babe Ruth

Up until now, the pseudonyms used on this blog have been female, for no reason other than the fact that I am a girl. However, for sports related topics, Babe Ruth seemed to be the perfect fit, and since “Babe” is a pretty girly name (no offense to the Great Bambino) I decided to go with it.

A few weeks ago, A- and I attended our first Dodger game. A- picked me up right after work and handed me a Dodger cap matching the one he was wearing on his head. He assured me that you can’t attend a baseball game without a hat.

Traffic to LA was terrible, but as we crawled up the hill to Dodger Stadium amongst the sea of Dodger fans, our frustration quickly turned to anticipation as the giant “Think Blue” sign on the hill and then the stadium itself came into view.

Dodger fans love their team and their enthusiasm is contagious. Once the game began, it was easy to get swept into the excitement as the Dodgers took the lead against the Padres. Waves rolled their way around the stadium, beach balls bounced from tier to tier, and we sang along with a rousing chorus of, “Take me Out to the Ballgame.”

Of course we also ate. Garlic fries, nachos, and giant ballpark hot dogs only made the game that much better.

The Dodgers won the game that evening 4-2, and I left an official Dodger fan.

such a cute blog. Really loved the cloud cookies, they would be great for children’s meeting snack when going over creation. Also love the baseball game pics!
